The Department of Public Safety has a major in Public Safety Law and Public Safety Administration.
Public Safety aims to foster administrative leaders capable of researching policies, law and Security management methods in order to establish Public Safety against various accidents, disorder and crisis, and capable of applying findings from such researches. In other words, strategic administrative leaders with a vision capable of efficiently leading public safety management organizations in the world of democracy, globalization, unstable socioeconomic circumstances with problem solving capabilities fostered through studying of preemptive prevention and efficient response to various accidents and incidents. In order to achieve such, Public Safety offers Public Safety Law and Public Safety Administration.
Public Safety Law
Public Safety Law aims to foster specialists with theoretical and practical capabilities in public safety related laws including police law, Acton the Performance of Duties by Police Officers, the Law on Assembly and Demonstration. Public Safety Law utilizes specialized courses to establish theoretical foundation of public safety studies, and it provides theoretical and practical law studies based on discussions and research of actual verdicts in order to balance administrative knowledge with practical experience.
Public Safety Administration
Public Safety Administration aims to systematically analyze various causes and components of the society that threatens public safety through various studies useful for safety experts, and provides studies useful for leaders who can develop visions and policies necessary to establish order and safety in the society.
Public Safety Autonomous Police
In order to secure public safety and improve the quality of life in the local community, we aim to realize the ideal of grassroots democracy through co-production in which local residents participate in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of public safety policies. It consists of subjects related to administrative, law, public safety policy, community policing, and etc especially to realize the ideal of a happy community police activity in which all residents are not marginalized by designing and providing a program for the socially disadvantaged, such as children, women, and the elderly.
