The Graduate School of Public Safety was established in 2017 at the end of a long hill.

The field of Public Safety was set up as a national tax to study new theories and institutions and cultivate security personnel suitable for the global age. The Graduate School of Public Safety will constantly challenge to fulfill its mission and responsibility in the field of policing and research.

The Graduate School of Public Safety will open a new horizon in the field of policing and will advance to become a world-renowned graduate school that fosters a visionary leader who is both domestic and international and a policing expert who is strong in solving field problems. To this end, the Graduate School of Public Safety will conduct research and education in four directions.

First, field-oriented research and education.
Rather than reviewing and introducing existing theories and systems, we will focus on developing and teaching new theories and systems. Advancement is not to be introduced earlier but to be developed ahead. To do this, field-based research and education are more important than anything else. The Graduate School of Public Safety will be at the forefront of such research and education.

Second, international research and education.
Establishing a network with global security ministers in the US, Europe and Asia to promote joint seminars and joint research on the issues facing each country in common, expanding the activities of domestic security personnel worldwide, We will take the lead in securing the domestic activity space of human resources. This internationalization will be pursued through collaboration with major domestic universities.

Third, research and education that respects developing countries.
In particular, young people in developing countries will be cultivated as security personnel suitable for the academic and the field. Police officers in developing countries will be trained as security experts, and efforts to modernize security systems in developing countries will be supported through knowledge information.

Fourth, education that seeks diversity and openness.
We do not distinguish the private sector, but we will hold a variety of classes, various job fields, and people with dreams in the field of security from various organizations. In order to prepare for global cooperation and the unification of the Korean peninsula, foreigners and defectors from North Korea will be accepted outside of the gardens.
Graduate School of Public Safety aims to prepare students for the future society by balancing the department, We will do our utmost to cultivate on-site human resources.
